Adjustable Flow Control Chokes
Crated for International Shipment BST's adjustable flow control chokes are used worldwide for both injection and production in the oil production industry. The B1 and B1.5 series chokes are used to inject lift gas into gas lift wells, and also used to inject water into water injection wells. All of BST's chokes are used to control downstream production flow and pressures at the wellhead and in pipelines. Standard body and bonnet material is 4130 alloy steel. Standard stem seals are Teflon, and O-rings are Viton. B1 Series: This smaller choke has 1"-3" sized end connections and standard trim sizes of ¼", ½", ¾", and 1". End connections can include buttweld, socketweld, threaded (NPT/LP), or flanged (many types). Standard trim is stainless steel, with tungsten carbide optional. B1HTG Series: Same body dimensions, end connection options, and trim sizes as the B1 Series, except suitable for high temperature steam and chemical service up to 800°F. Stainless steel trim. B1.5 Series: This choke has the same body dimensions and available end connections as the B1 Series, but with a standard trim size of 1½". Standard trim is stainless steel, with tungsten carbide optional. B2 Series: This medium sized choke has 2"-4" end connections and a standard trim size of 2" and many premium features. End connections can include buttweld, socketweld, threaded (NPT/LP), or flanged (many types). Standard trim is stainless steel, with tungsten carbide optional. BE2.75 and BEL2.75 Series: This larger choke has 3"-6" end connections and a standard trim size of 2.75" and many premium features. End connections can include buttweld, socketweld, threaded (NPT/LP), or flanged (many types). Standard trim is stainless steel, with tungsten carbide optional. The BEL version has a longer seat to eliminate internal body erosion. Contact BST Engineering for standard dimensions. All of BST's adjustable flow control chokes can be converted to positive (non-adjustable) chokes using conversion kits available from BST Lift Systems. Special centerline to flangeface dimensions, premium seals & O-rings, and custom trim sizes and styles are available options. BST's standard adjustable and positive flow control chokes are designed and manufactured in compliance with the requirements of API Spec 6A and ISO 9001, are rated for 5,000 psi working pressure at -20°F to 400°F (unless otherwise noted), and are suitable for H2S service per NACE MR0175. End connection welding and inspection (when required) can be performed to ANSI/ASME B31.3 specifications. BST also supplies all repair and resizing parts and kits for its flow control chokes.
